This is a handwoven Kelim rug combined with knotting techniques, made from natural, sustainable materials. Imperfections in the patterns and shape make this rug a one-of-a-kind piece and emphasize its authentic, artisanal character.
Kelims are often made from high-quality wool on a cotton or wool warp (weft). The patterns are often geometric and angular in shape. Each nomadic tribe has its own distinctive patterns.
Kelims are used as carpets, tent coverings, or as floor rugs, and are excellent utilitarian carpets with a long lifespan.
This is an almost unused, clean rug that can be laid out as is.
Main color: Cream/sand.
Accent colors: Reds and blues.
Details: The weaving technique combined with knotting of this rug creates notable height variation; rich abrash (intrinsic natural color differences); beautiful sheen.
