Clement, the middle brother, born in 1845, was the most prominent of the three. He worked in Vallauris before moving to the nearby Golfe-Juan, and is remembered for his lustrous glazes that were later acquired by the American Weller company. He was a leading Art Nouveau figure and opened a Paris salon around the turn of the century.
Massier specialized in earthenware with a metallic, iridescent glaze, inspired by medieval Spanish lustreware.
