Description from the seller
RARE
Potterie De Driehoek Huizen - Cobalt blue ceramic service - 3 saucepans, 10 plates, 1 serving dish (14) - Glazed ceramic, wood
Ceramic service from Potterie De Driehoek, Huizen, Netherlands, 1960s-1970s.
The set includes:
- 1 saucepan with red lid: Ø 16 cm (excluding handles), height 13.5 cm with lid
- 1 saucepan with red lid: Ø 16 cm (excluding handles), height 11 cm with lid
- 1 pouring saucepan with red lid: Ø 12 cm (excluding handle), height 10 cm with lid
- 10 plates: Ø 23 cm
- 1 serving dish: Ø 28 cm
Deep glossy cobalt blue enamel. The three saucepans retain their original removable wooden handles, designed to be removed for oven use — pieces that are very frequently missing on these series, making complete sets hard to find.
Condition: very good vintage condition. Enamel on the saucepans and lids has 2 small chips, no cracks. Surface wear scratches visible on the surface of the plates and dish, consistent with age (see photos).
Potterie De Driehoek was founded in 1935 in Huizen (Noord-Holland), arising from the bankruptcy of the ESKAF manufacturing company. Under the artistic direction of Fokke Hamming, the workshop established itself from the 1950s as a reference of Dutch ceramic design with tableware featuring clean, contemporary lines. The company became Potterie Huizen in 1970, before its acquisition in 1987.
Careful and highly reinforced shipment with tracking and insurance.
