Description from the seller
A beautiful, original Art Deco hanging lamp (suspension) made of thick marbled opal glass, dating from the 1930s-1940s. This type of lighting, often associated with French glass production (Clichy) and Belgian workshops (such as Scailmont), is an iconic example of interior design from the interwar period.
The shade has a very elegant, undulating form and is executed in a soft mint green/apple green tint. The glass is enriched with fused-in powders that create a unique, irregular marbling effect with dark brown veining. When the lamp is lit, it emits a particularly atmospheric and warm diffused light.
The lamp hangs from the characteristic, original suspension system with three twisted fabric/silk cords and decorative knots, coming together at a matching ceiling canopy.
