Description from the seller
10 Burmese Amber Pieces – Cretaceous Burmite with Natural Inclusions
Object type: Collection of 10 polished Burmese amber pieces
Material: Natural fossil resin / Burmese amber, also known as Burmite
Geological age: Cretaceous, approx. 99 million years old
Origin: Myanmar / Burma, commonly associated with the Hukawng Valley deposits
Number of pieces: 10
Condition: Polished, with natural internal structures, small surface marks and minor edge wear/chips visible on some pieces
Description
A decorative and interesting collection of 10 polished Burmese amber pieces, showing the typical warm yellow to honey-brown colour tones associated with Burmite.
The pieces display good translucency and react strongly under UV light with a blue fluorescence, as shown in the photos. Inside the amber, several natural features are visible, including organic particles, dark plant-like debris, flow lines, internal stress lines, small bubbles and natural inclusions. Some pieces also show darker areas and suspended material, giving the lot a very attractive fossil-resin character.
This is a nice small collector’s lot for display, study or as an addition to a fossil and amber collection. The pieces are presented in a small display frame/box and are photographed both under normal light and UV light.
No specific insect or biological inclusion is scientifically identified or guaranteed. Any visible inclusions should be considered natural organic debris or undetermined inclusions unless examined under magnification by a specialist.
Condition notes
The amber pieces are polished and generally well-presented. Some pieces show small natural cracks, internal fractures, edge chips or surface marks, which are typical for small polished amber specimens. Please review the photos carefully, as they form an important part of the description.
Collector’s note
Burmese amber is especially valued among fossil collectors because of its Cretaceous age and its frequent preservation of organic material. This lot is offered as a mixed collection of natural polished Burmite pieces with visible internal features.
