The Philips tape recorder N 4420 is a four-track stereo tape recorder from Philips.
It has three heads, three motors and three tape speeds (4.75, 9.5, 19 cm/s), electronically controlled drive, tape control for and against, tape tension adjustment and automatic shutoff at the end of the tape or when the tape breaks (in later versions). Tape with a back-coated tape can also be used. On the front there are connectors for two microphones and a headphone. Also an internal amplifier 6W/4 ohm with speakers and external connection for this.
