A pair of antique hall chairs dating from 1950–1960, in wood with green velvet upholstery, in a neoclassical style.
Description from the seller
Set of historicizing armchairs / hall chairs – Late 19th century – Mahogany wood
Beautiful set of historicizing armchairs from the end of the 19th century, made in solid mahogany and featuring richly carved decorations. The high backs are crowned by an elegant foliate motif with volutes, inspired by the neorenissance and neobaroque styles that were popular in the Victorian era.
The armchairs feature wide, comfortable seats, graceful armrests with openwork lyre motifs and turned front legs equipped with brass foot caps. The green velvet upholstery forms a beautiful contrast with the warm patina of the wood.
Thanks to their stately appearance, these chairs are particularly suitable as hall chairs, library chairs, or as accent pieces in a classic interior.
