Colorful, detailed and with unmistakable humor, Charles Fazzino presents in “Strolling P-Town” a vibrant street scene from Provincetown (Cape Cod). Typical of Fazzino's iconic 3D pop art, numerous elements protrude in relief, giving the work an extraordinary sense of depth.
What you see is a charming coastal town with its characteristic buildings, cafés, delicatessens and restaurants such as “Lobster Pot”, “Bubala’s” or “Front Street Rest”. In the background, a lighthouse and a church tower rise as boats rock in the harbor. The scene is brought to life by pedestrians, dogs and colorful pennant strings. Glittering accents emphasize rooftops, flags and clouds and enhance the three-dimensional effect.
The work combines Fazzino's characteristic architectural exaggeration with humorous details and a summery, light atmosphere. The multi-layered hand-assembly and the vibrant colors make each piece a vivid eye-catcher.
