AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful deep 18th-century tin serving dish formerly used for serving food.
The hallmarks on the back are faded by wear and partly visible, the X (clearly visible) is a quality mark indicating that tin of a high and hard quality was used; beneath this X there are two maker's marks that are partly worn away.
The raised inner rim is higher and the top edge is narrower than on most dishes; this is much rarer and thus provided more strength and capacity.
In good used condition with a lovely well-worn and dark aged patina, this dark patina is common on antique tin items made in England; the narrow top edge has a small hairline crack (see photos).
This is a beautiful well-worn dish with a lot of character to enhance your interior or collection.
Diameter: 42 cm.
Carefully packed and sent by registered mail and insured with track and trace.
