His Master's Voice suitcase gramophone, model 101, with excellent mechanical health and fully tested to be usable, weighs about 7 kg, includes an extra item, and the case shows fabric wear and oxidation patina on hardware.
Description from the seller
His Master's Voice portable gramophone, model 101, circa 1926.
It stands out exceptionally for its impeccable mechanical health: the motor has been completely overhauled to ensure correct speed. The cord and gears have been lubricated with grease suitable for this mechanism, and the axles have been treated with watchmaker’s oil.
The resulting sound is excellent and it plays quite well; the bass is well defined and the treble does not saturate at all. It works perfectly and reproduces entire records without losing sound force.
The handle and the turntable clip are new parts. The rest is strictly original.
Aesthetic condition: The case shows evident wear on the fabric and a patina of oxidation on the hardware, defects inherent to its age and use that do not affect performance. Ideal for someone seeking acoustic reliability without mechanical faults. See VIDEO (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eCdnMoYwbE) and attached photos to view the condition.
Good condition (with normal signs of use for its age)
The cord and gears are lubricated and inspected, axles oiled, speed adjusted; the case shows a bit of fabric wear, normal for a 100-year-old gramophone.
Weight approximately 7 kg and its standard folded dimensions are 41.5 cm deep, 29 cm wide, and 14.5 cm high. Comes with needles.
