Description of the work
Here is a very beautiful and refined female nude by Eugène Eechaut, dated March 2, 1981.
With a great purity of line, the drawing depicts a nude seated woman with her back to the viewer, in a contemplative pose, the hand delicately raised toward the face. Eechaut captures with remarkable economy of means the grace of the body, the curve of the back, the slight tension of the legs and the intimacy of the gesture. The line is at once sure, fluid and sensitive, characteristic of his most accomplished style.
The work exudes a calm and poetic atmosphere. The emptiness around the figure reinforces the presence of the model and gives the drawing a modern and timeless elegance.
An authentic piece, bearing the artist's seals (including an embossed seal) and the Galerie Pfeiffer Brussels seal, a gallery with which Eechaut long collaborated.
