Lot of 3 silver-plated (EP&S) tablepieces - Salt cellar with tray, Oil cruet and pierced Basket - England, first half of the 20th century
Description:
Elegant and refined place setting consisting of three vintage/antique metal pieces in silver plate (Silver Plated) of excellent craftsmanship and timeless charm, ideal for collectors or to embellish a formal table.
The lot comprises:
1. Oil cruet / Salt cellar with 3 compartments: Characterised by a solid, slender structure with a beautiful handle decorated with geometric beadwork motifs (torchon).
2. Complete Salt cellar set: Elegant salt cellar with clean lines, accompanied by its coordinated drip tray with shaped edge and its original serving spoon.
3. Pierced Basket / Plate: Beautiful openwork craftsmanship with geometric and floral motifs, resting on three spherical feet. At the bottom bear the factory marks engraved "EP&S" and the serial number "1610".
Material: Silver Plated (Silver Plated / Electroplated Silver)
Origin: England / United Kingdom
Period: First half of the 20th century (Edwardian Era / Art Deco)
Conditions: Good overall condition, with normal signs of age and use that attest to its authenticity. It presents a light and charming patina of oxidation that can be polished to the buyer’s preference. No structural damage.
