Description from the seller
Auction contents:
A pair of Bowers & Wilkins DM-2 top-class loudspeakers in excellent condition.
Made in the UK, 1973 hi-fi classics.
The speakers are mounted on the original B&W PLS-2 hardwood plinths, which tilt the speakers 9 degrees backward.
The original front grilles and the user manual (pdf) are included.
The DM (Domestic Monitor) series from B&W has long set the standard for high-quality home listening.
The DM-2, together with KEF’s Concerto, dominated the first half of the seventies.
It is a particularly successful design and thus an absolute standout in this class of seriously large and heavy floorstanding speakers.
The speaker consistently sounds pleasing and has many audiophile qualities.
The speakers are in excellent condition; the beautiful wooden enclosures are undamaged and the finish is pristine.
The purchaser can expect two large boxes, each weighing 30 kg.
