Description from the seller

In this listing, a magnificent and extremely elegant Edwardian/Giorgio V era cigarette case, now ideal also as an exclusive and refined business card or credit card holder. The piece has been entirely crafted in solid Sterling 925 silver in 1913 in Birmingham, one of the historic centers of excellence in British silversmithing.
The object is distinguished by an ultra-slim, slightly domed profile, designed to glide with absolute elegance into the pocket of a jacket. The exterior surface is completely embellished with a dense, impeccable Guilloché geometric engraving, framed along the edges by splendid floral volutes and high-precision relief decorations. On the front there is a smooth escutcheon, never engraved (no monograms), perfect for possible personalization.
Technical and Valuable Details:
Internal Vermeil: Opening the case reveals a wonderful, bright fire-gilded vermeil—original, exceptionally vivid and well preserved—designed to protect the silver from oxidation.
Functionality: The hinge is sturdy and the sliding action is flawless. The snap closure is perfectly solid and precise. Inside there is its original elastic/holder to secure the contents.
Hallmarks: The object bears a complete, contemporary, and perfectly legible set of four official British crown hallmarks:
1 The master goldsmith’s mark "H.W.L" (identifiable with the famous and esteemed Henry Williamson Ltd, active in Birmingham and London).
2 The passant lion, officially ensuring the silver is Sterling 925/1000.
3 The anchor, official symbol of the Birmingham Assay Office.
4 The dating letter "o" in antique style, fixing the exact production year to 1913.
Dimensions and Weight:
Dimensions: 9.83 x 6.95 x 0.83 cm (Ultra-slim and elegant profile)
Total weight: 74 grams
Condition:
