Rectangular mirror with a turned wood frame simulating bamboo stalks, forming a décor characteristic of the Japonisme aesthetic diffused in Europe in the second half of the 19th century.

The structure is composed of uprights and crosspieces imitating the knots of bamboo, finished at the corners with turned caps evoking the tips of stalks. The whole presents a warm honey-brown hue with an antique patina.

The back features a protective panel lined with decorative paper, preserving the glass.

Miroir rectangulaire à encadrement en bois tourné simulant des tiges de bambou, formant un décor caractéristique du goût japonisant diffusé en Europe dans la seconde moitié du XIXe siècle.

La structure est composée de montants et traverses imitant les nœuds du bambou, terminés aux angles par des embouts tournés évoquant des pointes de tiges. L’ensemble présente une teinte chaude brun miel avec patine ancienne.

Le revers présente un panneau de protection garni d’un papier décoratif postérieur, maintenant la glace.
