Wall clock - Metal - 1750-1800 - Little Comtoise clock

Small Comtoise with rooster and dish-shaped dial from the period 1780-1790.

The clock has a dish-shaped enameled dial in good condition. The brass cast piece with a rooster, eagles and fleur-de-lis.

The clock does not strike twice on the hour as usual, but only once. Additionally, the clock has a forced strike on the half hour.

The attachment of the hour hand is unusual; it sits via threading on the spindle of the clock wheel (see the photos).

The clock no longer has an alarm mechanism; the alarm disc at the front is only decorative.

The clock is in good working condition and comes with a winding key, mounting bracket and weights.

Dimensions: case height = 22.5 cm, case width = 21.5 cm, case depth = 14 cm, and the overall height of the clock is 35 cm.

Note; transport can affect a clock's operation. It requires clock knowledge to resolve this.
