Vintage wooden panel carved by Nino Gobbis for Celotto Arreda, Treviso, Veneto, Italy, dating to 1950–1960; measures 130 cm by 55 cm with a 1 cm depth, in very good condition with light signs of wear and age.

A vintage panel used in 1950s furniture. In particular this panel is part of a series of carved panels that were also used as printing matrices for decoration. The panel was carved by Nino Gobbis. Made of faesite, it has never been used but bears the marks of its 70 years.
Panel in faesite carved by Nino Gobbis for the Arreda di Celotto furniture factory (Montebelluna, Treviso). The panels served an ornamental purpose for 1950s furniture; in particular the furniture from Arreda di Celotto was considered a must-have. The furniture factory collaborated with very prominent architects, including Piero Celotto, Carlo Scarpa, and the studio of Tobia and Afra Scarpa. The panels were also used as printing matrices for other panels.
