Terracotta refractory stove by Becchi Forlì from Emilia Romagna, Italy, in good used condition with original cast iron door and complete components.
Description from the seller
I am selling a splendid and authentic refractory terracotta stove from the historic Becchi company of Forlì.
It is a real piece of Italian design history and industrial archaeology, characterized by the famous heat-recovery system (Patent No. 260769 clearly visible in relief on the base).
MAIN FEATURES AND RARITIES:
Stock clearance / NEVER LIT: The internal combustion chamber is completely intact, clean, and still retains the original factory lobster-orange color. It has never undergone the fire’s thermal shock.
100% original and COMPLETE components: The cast-iron door features the classic Becchi bas-relief with the smoking chimneys and the internal foundry codes (M 27 FGP AXI). Included are the original cast-iron top cover and the two original terracotta support feet (visible in the photo leaning against the wall), movable elements very hard to find still paired with the stove.
Integrity: The terracotta load-bearing structure is solid and free of structural cracks. It only shows the flaking of the outer protective paint due to humidity over time (it has been stored outdoors but sheltered), ideal to restore to natural terracotta or repaint.
An incredibly charming piece of furniture, perfect for rustic settings, country estates, modern lofts, or for collectors in the field.
Pickup: Hand collection only in Ravenna. Given its size and weight, shipping is not available.
Terms: As seen and liked in the condition it is.
