In this work, the figure appears hidden behind a mask that simultaneously protects and erases. The face, central element of human identity, presents itself fragmented by color interferences and pixelated blocks that interrupt the reading of the image, as if memory were constantly being rewritten.
The colored areas function as visual noise: dispersed information, transmission errors or digital traces that invade a traditionally human representation. Between the realism of the gaze and the abstraction of the pixels, a tension is created between presence and absence, revelation and concealment.
“Noise” reflects on how contemporary identity is formed in a world saturated with data, images and stimuli. What we see is only part of the information; the rest remains hidden beneath layers of interference. The work questions to what extent we can distinguish who we are from the noise that surrounds us.
