A working Olympus OM-1 silver-chrome 35mm SLR paired with the highly regarded OM-System Zuiko Auto-Zoom 75-150mm f/4 telephoto zoom lens. The Olympus OM-1 (introduced 1972) revolutionized the 35mm SLR world with its remarkably compact and lightweight body. It is a fully mechanical SLR — the shutter operates at every speed without a battery, with the battery powering only the built-in TTL light meter.

Appearance:
Vintage cosmetic wear consistent with age. The chrome top plate shows light age spots / patina (typical for OM-1 bodies of this era). Leatherette body covering is intact with no peeling. The lens barrel shows light use marks only — no dents, no deep scratches. Inside the film chamber, some paint wear / black-paint loss is visible on the metal rails (this is a known cosmetic issue on OM-1 bodies and does not affect film loading or photographic results).

Function:
35mm SLR film camera with horizontal-travel cloth focal-plane shutter (B, 1 s – 1/1000 s), through-the-lens (TTL) center-weighted CdS metering, Olympus OM bayonet mount, mirror-lock-up capability, and an exceptionally bright finder.
- Shutter: fires correctly (confirmed)

- Mechanical shutter operation: works at all speeds without battery (a key feature of the OM-1)

- TTL CdS light meter ON/OFF switch: operates; meter response with a fresh battery has not been confirmed

Battery note:
The Olympus OM-1's built-in TTL light meter was originally designed for a single 1.35 V mercury button battery (PX625 / MR-9, now discontinued). Modern replacements such as PX625G (1.5 V alkaline, may cause slight metering offset), WeinCell MRB625 (1.35 V zinc-air), or LR44 / SR44 with a voltage adapter can be used.

The shutter and all main mechanical operations work fully independently of the battery, at all speeds. Battery is not included; please prepare one separately.

Optical system (lens):
OM-System Zuiko Auto-Zoom 75-150mm 1:4 — a constant f/4 aperture telephoto zoom with a strong reputation among OM users for its sharpness and pleasing rendering. Compact for its focal range, it is a great match for the OM-1 body. Optics are clear — no fungus, no haze, no balsam separation, and no major scratches visible. A small amount of dust may be present but does not affect image quality. Aperture blades are clean, aperture ring and zoom / focus ring all move smoothly.

Shutter / film chamber:
Cloth focal-plane shutter curtain appears clean. The film chamber and pressure plate are clean overall; please note the cosmetic black-paint wear on the film rails mentioned above.

Notes:
The OM-1 is widely regarded as one of the most important 35mm SLR designs in camera history — compact, mechanical, beautifully made. Paired with the 75-150mm f/4 zoom, this set is ready for portrait, travel, and general telephoto work. Please refer to the photos for the exact condition and accessories. As this is a vintage camera, occasional servicing (CLA) is recommended for long-term reliable use.
