Antique Burner / Decorative Lamp in Brass and Cobalt Glass — First Third of the 20th Century
Spectacular piece with a strong decorative presence, made in brass worked with an architectural arm in the shape of a bird, with elegant lines and finely engraved plumage. From this arm hangs, by delicate chains, a cobalt blue glass bowl, whose deep color creates a striking contrast with the warm shine of the golden metal.
The top includes an ornate ring and a pierced lid, both executed with a level of artisanal detail that evidences careful work typical of Oriental and Mediterranean manufactories from the first third of the 20th century.
Its aesthetic is warm, exotic, and sophisticated, capable of imparting character and a ceremonial note to any space. It can be used as a decorative lamp, incense burner, oil burner, or simply as an ornamental piece within a collection.
