Description from the seller
Collision Theory is an original abstract diptych exploring the tension created when opposing forces meet. Across two interconnected canvases, bold reds, deep blacks, and stark whites interact in a visual exchange of energy, movement, resistance, and transformation.
The left panel suggests an explosive release of force, while the right panel responds with structure, contrast, and density. Together, they create a dynamic conversation between chaos and order, action and reaction. Neither canvas tells the complete story alone; the work is designed to be experienced as a whole, where meaning emerges through the relationship between the two pieces.
I created this diptych as a reflection on the encounters that shape us. Every interaction, whether between people, ideas, emotions, or moments in time, leaves an imprint. Like particles colliding, we are constantly influencing and being influenced by the world around us.
Sonia Anton is a Romanian-Australian artist whose passion for painting was shaped from an early age, growing up alongside her mother, a celebrated artist whose work left a lasting impression. Having lived across the world, from Australia to Mexico and throughout Europe, Sonia brings a richness of experience and perspective to every canvas. Surrounded by creativity and self-expression from childhood, she naturally found her own voice through paint and colour. Her work is characterised by expressive mark-making, texture, movement, and emotion, inviting viewers to connect with each piece in their own unique way.
This original diptych consists of two hand-painted acrylic canvases, each measuring 40 x 40 cm, creating a combined display size of 40 x 80 cm when hung together.
Please note that colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings, light conditions, and device display. The artwork has been photographed as accurately as possible to reflect the true colours of the original piece.
The artwork will be carefully packaged for shipping and arrives ready to hang. Hand signed by the artist. Original acrylic on canvas diptych.
