Description from the seller

Splendid and authentic complete bed set in antique pure heavy linen, entirely spun and handwoven. A piece of history of traditional linen, characterized by a tactile texture, fresh and incredibly robust, typical of domestic looms of yesteryear.
The set includes a large top sheet and two coordinating pillowcases.
Dimensions:
Top sheet: 255 x 225 cm
Pillowcases: about 72 x 48 cm (visible in photo with ruler) with classic fabric tie closures.
Details of Value and Craftsmanship:
Hand embroidery: Corners of the sheet signed with the initials "A. M." embroidered in cross-stitch with red thread, distinctive mark of the ownership of the original linen.
Antique Lace: The pillowcases and the hem of the top sheet are adorned with a beautiful insertion of carved/hand-cut lace, which creates a refined geometric and floral openwork pattern.
The charm of the old loom: As was used in the early 1900s to reach the widths of modern beds starting from the narrow linens of the manual loom, the top sheet features longitudinal seams expertly done by hand (visible in the photo). A technical detail that is not a flaw, but the authentic proof of its artisanal and historical craftsmanship.
The set is in vintage very good condition, solid and ready to use or collect. Being an authentic piece with decades of history, note:
Very small and normal signs of time.
A slight and localized shadow/stain (highlighted in the dedicated photo), easily treatable with proper traditional washes or solar bleaching.
The stitching and the fabric are perfectly intact and durable.
A unique piece, ideal for lovers of Shabby Chic style, rustic high-end, or for those who wish to rediscover the incomparable pleasure of sleeping in true antique linen.
