English Country House Auction

No. 2 silvered copper candlesticks - Sheffield - from the late Victorian era 1880/1900, with a hallmark depicting a shamrock with three stars inside. The hallmarks belong to the historic English firm Barker Brothers - often identifiable as B.B. - active in Birmingham and Sheffield from 1860 to the early decades of the 20th century. In sheet metal, masterfully repoussé, with floral motifs typical of the period. Very elegant.
The conditions are as shown in the photo. They have not been polished.
The measurements are 31 cm in height, the base - to be shimmed for stability, see photo - measures 13 x 13 cm.
The weight is 1.070 kg each.

N. 2 candelieri in rame argentato  - Sheffield - di epoca tardo vittoriana 1880/1900, con punzone raffigurante un trifoglio con tre stelle al suo interno. I punzoni appartengono alla storica azienda inglese Barker Brothers - spesso identificabile anche come B.B.- attiva a Birmingham e Sheffield dal 1860 ai primi decenni del xx° secolo. In lamierino, magistralmente sbalzato, con raffigurazioni floreali tipiche dell'epoca. Molto eleganti.
Le condizioni, sono come da foto. Non sono stati lucidati.
Le misure sono di cm. 31  in altezza, la base - da spessorare per la stabilità, vedi foto - misura cm 13 x 13.
