Description
Magnificent and rare complete coffee service in Limoges porcelain from the prestigious Raynaud & Cie factory, founded in Limoges by Martial Raynaud in the early 20th century. The Raynaud house is renowned for the exceptional quality of its porcelain and for its creations influenced notably by Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. Wikipedia
This service stands out for its particularly elegant octagonal faceted shape, its wholly gilded handles, and its geometrical decorative pattern alternating ivory-yellow panels and deep red reserves adorned with stylized floral motifs painted with great finesse.
The pieces bear on the reverse the famous Raynaud & Cie Limoges swan mark as well as the supplementary A&C° Limoges France mark, historical marks found on the manufacture's old productions.
