Justus van Egmont - Sancte Francisce Ora Pro Nobis

A fine original Baroque engraving by the Flemish painter Justus van Egmont (1601-1674), measuring circa 43,7 x 33,7cm paper size, framed behind glass in a wooden frame for an outside size of 51,5 x 41,2cm. The engraving shows Saint Francis of Assisi kneeling before a cross in prayer, with text Sancte Francisce ora pro nobis (Saint Francis pray for us), dated 1643. Francis of Assisi was the founding father of the Franciscan Order.
The print is classified as being in the Rubens school of art.

Condition: Light moisture stain to the upper left corner, small damages to the frame. Overall in a very presentable condition.
