Description from the seller
Stunning pair of antique mountaineering Crampons
Crampons made by the famous mountaineering equipment manufacturer Simond in Chamonix.
All leather straps are present. To make them more decorative you could take all the straps off.
They are heavy and strong, fit to climb Mount Everest!
Great decorative item.
From the history of Simond :
The Golden Age of alpinism after 1945 initiated a constant dialogue between Claudius Simond and the greatest guides and alpinists of his time (Lachenal, Herzog, Terray, ...). This co-creation led to tools perfectly suited for the highest peaks: Claudius notably designed his first 12-point model with two front points, the "Everest" crampon, specifically to meet Edmund Hillary's needs. This essential alliance between craftsmanship and performance was the basis for the first ascents of Annapurna and Everest, a foundation that still guides Simond today.Magazine not included in this auction!

We use recycled materials as packaging to reduce waste.
