Description from the seller

Important molded and gilded wooden frame, with rich decoration in foliate motifs and beaded borders. Dramatic in form and appearance, in Empire style, it presents a refined coffered profile with inner and outer fasciaes adorned with continuous friezes.

The frame is characterized by an important architectural moulding of multiple orders, it features a central smooth band framed by stylized vegetal motifs and a beaded border on the outermost profile, elements typical of the decorative repertoire of Empire taste.

Entirely in solid wood, it presents a sturdy construction, not attributable to the light industrial frames of the late twentieth century;

The balanced proportions, decorations of stylized leaves, palmettes and continuous motifs of the Empire style together with the warm gilding confer the whole a remarkable scenic presence, making it ideal for paintings, portraits, prints or mirrors, for houses and galleries.

Dimensions:
Height 59.5 cm.
Width 39.5 cm.
Depth 6 cm.
Front thickness 7 cm
Internal opening:
Height 45 cm.
Width 26 cm.
