Description from the seller
Gabriel Teodoro Martinelli Silva (Guarulhos, 18 June 2001) is a Brazilian-Italian footballer who typically plays as a forward. He left Ituano FC in 2019 for Arsenal FC, with whom he has since won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the FA Community Shield. Martinelli won a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics, before making his debut for the Brazilian national team in 2022, and he participated in the 2022 and 2026 World Cups and the Copa América 2024.
Martinelli was named Player of the Month at his club twice, in December 2021 and January 2022, for his performances in those months, scoring goals against West Ham United and Leeds United. His goal against the latter opponent was Arsenal FC's 7000th in the top flight of English football, making the club the third to reach that milestone. On 11 February 2022 Martinelli received his first red card in professional football, after receiving yellow cards for two fouls in six seconds in a 0–1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. He started in the starting XI when Arsenal FC won the FA Community Shield on 6 August 2023 via a penalty shootout against Manchester City. He extended his contract with Arsenal FC on 3 February 2023 by three years, to mid-2027 with an option for another year. Martinelli missed on 16 March 2023 as the only player to miss his penalty in the shootout against Sporting CP in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16, which eliminated Arsenal FC. At the end of the 2022/23 season he was nominated, like teammates Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka, for the Premier League Young Player of the Season, an award that was eventually won by Erling Haaland. Martinelli had that season the same goal tally as Roberto Firmino for the most goals by a Brazilian in a single Premier League season. He scored on 8 October 2023 as a substitute with a late winner for Arsenal FC against title holders Manchester City (1–0). On 24 October 2023 he scored on his UEFA Champions League debut; Arsenal FC won 1–2 away to Sevilla FC.
