Stunning and original funerary mask dating from around 1900. It is made of clay with traces of color on the mouth and eyebrows. A mold, often in wax, was created on the deceased's face, then plaster was poured or clay was applied by hand in the mold, as is the case here.

Dimensions: 14 x 19 x 15 cm

Good condition of the face, edges with some broken parts reattached, foxing speckles on the entire surface. The funerary mask will be carefully packed and shipped with a tracking number. No delivery to the USA or the Middle East.

Superbe et originale masque mortuaire datant d'environ 1900. Il est en argile avec des traces de couleur sur la bouche et les sourcils. Un moulage, souvent en cire était réalisé sur le visage du défunt, on coulait ensuite du plâtre ou on appliquait de l'argile à la main dans le moule, comme c'est le cas ici.
