Two ink cakes from China dating to 1980–1990, 25 cm wide, 16 cm deep and 3 cm high, weighing 1.4 kg, in good condition with minor signs of aging and spots, includes the box.

An inkcake is a pressed bar of finely ground soot (lamp black or pine soot) mixed with glue (usually hide glue). To make ink, rub the cake with water on an ink stone.
