Description from the seller
EXCEPTIONALLY WITHOUT RESERVATION!
Magnificent twentieth-century painting depicting a suggestive seascape at sunset, with a small sailing boat gliding silently over waters illuminated by the last lights of the day.
The work is characterized by an intimate, contemplative atmosphere, where the sea and sky seem to merge in a harmonious play of light and reflections. The dark sail of the boat emerges boldly from the marine landscape, becoming the focal point of the composition and guiding the gaze toward the horizon.
The sun’s light, now low on the sea, reflects on the water’s surface, creating precious golden glints that disperse among the gentle ripples of the waves. The clouds, realized with a fluid and textural brushstroke, help to build a poetic and enchanting scene, typical of great Romantic seascapes.
The color palette, dominated by earthy tones, silvery-gray and golden reflections, gives the work an elegant and timeless character. The painting technique highlights a pleasant textural quality that adds depth to the scene and enhances the luminosity of the reflections on the water.
The sober ebony frame perfectly accompanies the painting, emphasizing its refined atmosphere and strong decorative value.
Please note that due to the age of the work, there may be small defects, breaks, or losses: natural signs of time that attest to its authenticity and history.
The photographs have been taken under direct spotlight to highlight the details.
The frame is provided as a courtesy and is not part of the lot: any damage to the frame will not be reimbursed.
The work will be accompanied by a guarantee certificate issued by The Auction Master.
Our shipments are fast and professional with protected packaging; for shipments outside Europe (Schengen area) costs are higher and issues may arise; shipments outside Schengen only with private arrangements at the buyer’s expense.
