The Pioneer TX-8100 is a high-quality, classic AM/FM stereo tuner produced by Pioneer in the 1970s (circa 1974). This tuner is known for its excellent build quality, warm analog sound and high reception sensitivity. It was often sold as a set with the legendary Pioneer SA-8100 integrated amplifier at the time.

Appearance: Equipped with a distinctive wooden case (walnut), a sturdy silver front panel and atmospheric analog lighting.
Reception technique: Equipped with a 4-way variable capacitor and dual-gate MOS FETs in the FM reception part. This ensures excellent filtering of unwanted signals and a trouble-free reception.
Dual tuners: Contains both a signal strength meter and a 'center tuning' meter to search for radio stations razor sharp manually.
Features a built-in MPX noise-cutter (for stereo output), FM muteable and multipath scope connections, and filters and functions.
Flexible outputs: Equipped with both fixed (fixed) and variable (variable) RCA outputs at the rear, as well as a headphone jack with its own volume control on the front panel.
