Description from the seller
Here is a rare and fascinating Ernemann film K box camera, an authentic piece of history of German analog photography, produced in Dresden roughly between 1920 and 1926. This “box camera” model stands out clearly from the classic and more common box cameras of the era thanks to its superior build quality, characterized by a solid internal wooden framework rather than simple pressed cardboard, and by a unique and refined design. The body is entirely clad in black imitation leather with a fine grain and features on the top a sturdy original leather carrying handle, showing the classic signs of aging. The front houses the single-lens how it is enclosed in a distinctive central black metal ring, where the white inscription ERNEMANN is engraved in an elegant period font. The front is also enhanced by two circular reflex viewfinders and the characteristic shaped metal levers for managing the standard shutter and for the settings of the exposure times. From an aesthetic perspective, the piece presents in excellent vintage condition overall, with a beautiful patina that enhances its historical authenticity. No significant dents are noticeable and the coating maintains good integrity. We invite you to carefully view the rich attached photographic gallery, which constitutes an integral and fundamental part of the description, to discover every tiny visual detail of this lot. An unmissable opportunity for collectors of photographic antiques and lovers of historic pieces from Ernemann manufactory.”} } ) } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } }}}}}} } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } }}
