Item located in Olgiate Molgora, province of Lecco
Antique tall chest dating from the second half of the 19th century, characterized by a sober style linked to the Luigi Filippo period or late empire.
Main features:
* Upper surface: Carrara white veined marble slab, a classical element common in Italian and French 19th-century chests to protect the wood beneath.
* Construction: Three linear drawers configuration with knob metal or wood handles and central slots for the locks.
* Wood: Dark, warm-toned wood, presumably walnut, very popular in furniture production of the era.
* Base: Frontally supported by turned feet (also called "onion" or "rocchetto" feet), a construction detail typical of the Central-Northern Italian artesanal tradition (such as Lombard or Tuscan chests).
Disassembly and transportation to be arranged by the buyer
