Napoleon III French Nightstand with Marble Top and Wedgwood Plate

Elegant Napoleone III era French nightstand, made in the second half of the nineteenth century, characterized by a refined veneered structure with geometric inlays in precious woods. The curved front houses two drawers adorned with bronze gilt hardware finely chased.

Particularly decorative is the central medallion applied to the upper drawer, featuring a Wedgwood-style plate depicting a classical-looking female figure in white relief on a green background. The front posts are enriched with decorative bronze gilt applications with botanical motifs, while the lower band presents another ornamental bronze element.
