Description from the seller
Catholic liturgical chalice in gilded brass – Italy, 1950s
Elegant Catholic liturgical chalice in gilded brass, made in Italy around the mid-20th century. The object presents a sober and balanced line, typical of ecclesiastical production after World War II, with stylistic references to the neogothic tradition visible in the central node decorated with relief floral rosettes.
The hemispherical cup preserves a pleasing internal gilding, while the stem develops according to an harmonious composition culminating in a stepped circular base that ensures stability and proportion to the whole.
This is an authentic liturgical object belonging to the Catholic liturgical tradition of the twentieth century, evidence of a period when functionality was still accompanied by a discreet yet refined decorative care.
Our in-house interior designer recommends: used as a decorative element inside a library, a sacred art collection, or an eclectic environment, this chalice adds character, history, and a strong symbolic appeal to the spaces.
Dimensions: height 17.5 cm; cup diameter 10 cm; base diameter 11.5 cm.
Condition: good. Shows normal signs of use, mild superficial wear and a natural patina of time. There are some oxidations at the bottom of the base, as visible in the photos. Structurally solid and stable.
The photos are an integral part of the description. Guaranteed careful packaging entrusted to industry professionals.
