Baccarat - Cosmetic flask - Crystal - Decor Overlay Empire

Crystal Baccarat perfume bottle with green overlay. By overlay, we mean a structure in white crystal covered with colored crystal which, once cut, reveals the white through the transparency.

Our bottle belongs to Baccarat's Empire Toiletries service, represented in the 1916 Cosmetic Articles catalog. This very fine decoration is achieved by acid engraving and then hand-cutting. The bottle is entirely covered with green crystal, then cut by about 80% to leave visible only the green band in color. It is a very important piece of work.

Produced in the late 19th century or early 20th century, it does not bear the signature of the crystal works.

Rare model, piece in good condition, with small flakes on the lower part of the stopper (original) and micro-scratches in the neck (edge of the inner rim of the neck), wear marks under the base.
