Description from the seller

GENERAL:
A 2000 Mercedes-Benz E320 is presented, with approximately 130,000 kilometers on the odometer. The vehicle has belonged to the same owner since March 2016, when it was acquired with around 80,000 kilometers and in very good condition. It was used daily and as a family car until 2020, when its use became much less frequent, relegated to occasional trips and sporadic urban journeys, while always maintaining proper maintenance. Due to its light usage in the last two years, the decision has been made to put it up for sale. This model belongs to the famous W210 generation of the E-Class, which introduced the distinctive oval double headlights to the market and consolidated the German brand’s executive sedan segment thanks to its aerodynamic coefficient of only 0.26 Cx and the widespread adoption of advanced safety systems such as stability control. The vehicle is perfectly cared for, completely rust-free, and ready to embark on a journey to any destination under its own power.

BODYWORK AND PAINT:
The car was completely repainted before being acquired in 2016, and the overall paint remains in good condition today. In terms of aesthetic details, it shows some small superficial scratches and a couple of small chips that are visually documented. Among these details is a small chip located on the roof area, caused by bird excrement that was not properly cleaned at the time, as well as a superficial stain on the paint of the left rear door, which shows no dents. All body lights are in good condition, and the headlights look bright and perfect. Generally, the bodywork is quite good and only requires subtle touch-ups if one seeks an absolute perfection, showing only normal wear from use and the passage of years.

MECHANICS:
The vehicle is equipped with the renowned M112 petrol engine, a 6‑cylinder V, 3.2‑liter naturally aspirated block that historically stands out within the brand for its rock-solid mechanical reliability and smoothness. It delivers 224 hp/PS and transmits power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission, which shifts gears with absolute smoothness and perfection. The engine starts first time even after weeks without being started, maintaining quiet operation and delivering the vigorous acceleration expected for its specs. The front brake discs and pads were recently replaced and are functioning perfectly. As for prior maintenance, engine mounts and transmission mounts were replaced around 100,000 kilometers, addressing one of the typical weak points of this model. The suspension does not emit strange noises and feels fairly tight on the road, despite no elastic components having been replaced in recent years. Because the car has always been kept in a dry climate, it shows no structural or surface rust. The engine oil appears visually in good condition, though due to elapsed time and infrequent use, an routine oil change maintenance would be advisable.

INTERIOR:
The cabin retains all original factory components without prior repairs. In terms of condition, the rear seats, door trim panels, and floor carpets are in excellent condition, showing only normal wear on the driver's seat and some superficial scratches on the passenger bench, with no tears or holes in the upholstery. The driver's floor mat shows wear from daily use. The current audio system includes a radio with a CD player adapted to the trends of the period when it was commonly used, although the original factory radio is included with the sale. The headlining upholstery shows a small bubble due to the beginning of fabric detachment, a very common fault in Mercedes from this era, though the headlining is not torn or stained and is barely noticeable unless examined closely. All interior electrical accessories, including power window controls, electrically adjustable mirrors, and the electric headlight cleaning system, function normally.

DOCUMENTATION:
The car has a valid Vehicle Technical Inspection (ITV) through June 2027. The vehicle currently does not have an active insurance policy, so it will be strictly mandatory to insure it before driving it away. If the final destination of the car is registration in a foreign country, all expenses and taxes related to that export will be borne exclusively by the buyer.

PICKUP:
The car is physically located in the city of Madrid, from where collection by the new owner must be arranged and carried out.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
