Published in Vertigo / DC Comics - Battleaxes #3 - pages 10 & 11 - (2000)
Alex Horley (Alessandro Orlandelli) is an Italian artist, best known for his painted covers in the style of Frazetta, as well as comics such as Lobo : Death & Taxes, Daughters Of Darkness, Jungle Tails and Sharky.
In the late 90's he worked on Battleaxes, Frank Frazetta Fantasy Illustrated and Red Stacey.
These are pages from the 4-part mini-series 'Battleaxes'. The series formed a completed story in 4 comics, telling the story of 4 female fighters and a sorceress/medicine woman in the style of Conan and Red Sonja
