Description from the seller
Royal Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Vases – Model 7027 (Pair) – c. 1885–1900
A beautiful and highly decorative pair of antique Royal Doulton Lambeth stoneware vases, model 7027, dating from the late Victorian period, circa 1885–1900.
These elegant vases showcase the craftsmanship for which Royal Doulton Lambeth became renowned worldwide. Finished in a rich warm brown stoneware body and adorned with finely applied cream-coloured floral and foliate relief decoration, they display a striking Gothic and Arts & Crafts influence that remains timeless and highly collectible today.
Both vases bear the impressed Royal Doulton Lambeth mark together with the model number 7027 and the impressed designation "Silicon", referring to Royal Doulton's durable silicon stoneware body, a material celebrated for its strength, quality, and distinctive finish during the Victorian era.
The pair complement each other beautifully while retaining the subtle characteristics of hand-finished Victorian stoneware. Their refined proportions, attractive relief decoration, and warm earthy tones make them ideal display pieces for a cabinet, mantelpiece, or antique interior setting.
Dimensions
- Height: approximately 15 cm
- Width: approximately 7 cm
Condition
The vases remain in good antique condition with excellent decorative appeal. One vase has a very minor surface hairline visible near the rim. This is not a full-length crack and does not affect the structural integrity of the piece in any way. It is only noticeable upon close inspection and does not detract from the vase's beautiful appearance when displayed. One applied floral decoration on the second vase shows a small area of loss, consistent with age and use. Overall, both pieces present exceptionally well and remain highly attractive examples of Victorian Royal Doulton Lambeth stoneware.
A charming and increasingly sought-after pair of Royal Doulton Lambeth stoneware vases, offering over a century of history, craftsmanship, and Victorian elegance. A wonderful opportunity for collectors of Royal Doulton, Lambeth stoneware, and fine British decorative arts.
