Olivetti Studio 44 first-series aluminium beige desk-typewriter designed by Marcello Nizzoli, manufactured in Italy in 1952, 32 cm wide by 12 cm high by 38 cm deep, weighing 8 kg, in good used condition with minor age marks and chrome wear, in working order with verification marks, serial number 858655.

Olivetti Studio 44 beige first series typewriter with ink ribbon Pelikan added (recognizable by its color and round keys), in good condition of the frame (small oxidations on the chrome) original paint in excellent condition for its years, mechanics excellent, I added a Pelikan ribbon for substitution. Serial number 858655
It was designed in 1952 by architect and designer Marcello Nizzoli, collaborator of the Ivrea company since 1938, in collaboration with engineer Giuseppe Beccio. The Studio 44 replaced the Olivetti Studio 42 model, released in 1935 and designed by the architects Figini and Pollini and painter Xanti Schawinsky. In 1955 Olivetti donated to Pius XII (Pope Pacelli) an Olivetti Studio 44 special model. A postcard with the photo of the Pope writing with this machine was printed by "La Presse Ouvrière, rue de la Lci 126 Bruxelles" and "vendu au profit de Radio Vatican à l'occasion du Pèlerinage du M.O.C. à Rome".
