Paesaggi, first edition hardback by Franco Fontana, signed on the endpaper, 88 pages with about 50 colour photographs, texts in Italian and English, published in 1995 by Photology.
Description from the seller
Exceptionally signed copy on the frontispiece by Franco Fontana (born in 1933), unique and unavailable in a signed copy and also today unavailable in an unsigned copy. 88 pages and about 50 color photographs, texts in Italian and English by Achille Bonito Oliva and Ezio Raimondi. Hardcover publisher’s binding with illustrated cover. In excellent condition, practically like new.
Franco Fontana was born in 1933 in Modena (Italy). From his early days in photography he opted for color and quickly became interested in the representation of the landscape, of which he became the undisputed master. By removing all superfluous elements from his images, he combines lines, shapes and colors with great economy of means, which allows him to reach a degree of abstraction similar to that of modern painting, and with extreme simplicity of form he composes abstract landscapes that gather two or three color zones.
Book from my personal collection, in excellent condition, practically like new and kept with the utmost care. Very effective protected shipping and international tracking guaranteed. For multiple purchases, possibility of combined shipment with a refund of any overpaid postage via PayPal.
