Description from the seller
Elegant enameled cast iron Brabantia Dutch oven, dating from the 1980s, in a superb red gradient color typical of that period.
Its timeless design is enhanced by a matching lid equipped with a brushed stainless steel handle, bringing a touch that is both modern and functional.
Fully made of enameled cast iron, this pot benefits from excellent thermal inertia, allowing gentle and even cooking. The exterior enamel fully covers the piece, including the bottom, offering a particularly neat finish. The interior in white enamel still shows a very bright finish, a sign of careful preservation.
The thick bottom provides excellent stability on different heat sources and allows long simmering cooks under ideal conditions.
Dimensions
Total length with handles: 32.7 cm
Diameter / length of the cavity: 25 cm
Height without lid: 7.5 cm
Total height with lid: 13 cm
Weight: 5 kg
Condition
Good overall state of preservation.
To report:
- Two chips visible under the lid.
- A few chips on the outer edge of the lid.
- Presence of usage flakes on the handles.
- A few chips on the upper edge of the cavity.
- Interior in white enamel retaining a very bright shine.
- Exterior showing a nice general gloss.
These defects are essentially aesthetic and do not affect the solidity or the culinary qualities of the piece.
About Brabantia
Founded in 1919 in the Netherlands, Brabantia is a brand known for the quality of its household and kitchen products. In the 1970s and 1980s, it marketed several robust and durable ranges of cookware, valued for their careful manufacturing and functional design. Old Brabantia enameled cast iron pieces are today sought after by lovers of traditional cuisine as well as by vintage housewares collectors.
This pot is thus a beautiful utilitarian and decorative piece, ideal for daily use or to complete a collection of European enameled cast iron.
