Silver coin issued during the reign of Tsar Ferdinand I, in a context marked by the Balkan Wars and the assertion of Bulgarian independence. The obverse shows the bearded bust of the monarch looking to the left, with Cyrillic inscription identifying him as “Tsar of the Bulgarians.” The reverse features the denomination flanked by an elegant vegetal crown composed of laurel branches, palms and roses. Its MS62 condition makes it an attractive piece within the numismatic repertoire of the Bulgarian royal period.
