PORTUGAL. Lisbon. 20 Centavos. 1916.

- Reign: First Portuguese Republic (1910-1926).
- Inscriptions: REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA / 1916 / 20 CENTAVOS.
- Grade: MS61 (NGC).
Obverse with the bust of the Portuguese Republic looking to the left, wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with laurel leaves and ears of corn. Perimeter inscription: REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA. Date 1916 at the bottom. Reverse with the coat of arms of Portugal centered on an armillary sphere, surrounded by two laurel branches joined by a ribbon. At the bottom, the inscription 20 CENTAVOS. Coin minted in the context of the First Portuguese Republic, a period characterized by political instability and major economic changes. Despite this, this piece reflects a classical design and a strong national symbolic charge. This coin is encapsulated by NGC with the grade MS61, which guarantees its excellent state of preservation.
