Description from the seller

French Ram’s head Beaux-Arts Neoclassical Urn Table Lamp – Patinated Bronze & Brass – ca. 1900-1930

Description:
An exceptionally elegant French Neoclassical table lamp in the Beaux-Arts style, dating from the early 20th century (ca. 1895-1930).
This piece was originally crafted as a high-quality decorative urn (cassolette) and was later professionally electrified into a luxurious table lamp, making it a perfect statement piece for high-end interior decoration.

Design & Craftsmanship:

Construction: Built in the traditional French manner with several distinct, heavy metal sections, showcasing superb craftsmanship.

The Body: Features a beautiful, rich "French bronze" patinated finish with natural age-related wear, revealing the warm golden undertones of the metal beneath.

Details: Adorned with two finely cast, heavy brass/bronze ram's heads (têtes de bélier) draped with classical flower garlands (festons).

Accents: A finely chased/rouleted (guilloché) golden brass border separates the sections, adding a striking contrast to the dark patinated body.

Top Ring: Features an integrated brass harp/shade support in the classic French bouillotte style.

Condition:
In very good vintage/antique condition with a magnificent, authentic patina. The dark finish shows light surface wear consistent with age, which only enhances its historic character. The lower body features a minor, shallow dent (indentation) on one side between the ram's heads, as shown in the photos. This does not affect the structural integrity or overall beauty of the lamp. Please see the last photo.

The lamp has been tested and is fully functional. Completely non-magnetic (tested), confirming a solid brass/bronze composition throughout.

Dimensions:
Total Height: 54 cm (including the top shade support)
