This is an antique hand-wound pocket watch, often referred to as a "Steirische Bauernuhr". Decorative engravings: The graceful, machine-made engravings on the fork and the pallet wheel point to a typical jewelry- or use-watch (like the "Steirische Bauernuhr") from the late Victorian period or the early Edwardian era. Features: The movement in the case is engraved and has an engraved housing and was originally wound with a key. Cylinder escapement: This type Swiss/French movement with a cylinder escapement and the characteristic open-work bridges reached its absolute peak at the end of the 19th century. Two small blemishes near the 8 and the 2, see the photos. Multicolored enamel dial with Roman numerals, small seconds hand, engraved lever mechanism, cylinder escapement, regulator, case number 68606, metal dust cap, case with rims, back cover with hunting motif, case diameter approx. 50 mm, 94 g, wear consistent with age, key present, functional, inscription engraved. It will be sent by registered mail and well packed.
