I am a genuine collector. The proceeds from my auctions go to a good cause: a day program centre for people with a disability. Shipping costs are always a topic. They have risen a lot this past year, sometimes up to 25%. The rates are visible in the lot. If you disagree, don’t buy. It’s as simple as that. I don’t force anyone to buy from me, but don’t come back with negative or neutral feedback afterwards. You know what the shipping costs are that are calculated, and a meagre consolation for the buyer: often they are still too low and we end up adding money to the shipping costs ourselves. The following is important: if you do not pick up your parcel and it is returned, the return costs that I have to pay will be charged back to you, and the new shipping costs to send the parcel again must be paid before the parcel goes back to you. Unfortunately, in the past it has happened often that parcels are returned for this reason. Damage to the parcel visible: do not accept or accept with reservation. Any kind of damage should be reported to me immediately. Unfortunately this happens despite me packing the items very well. Note: if you do not collect the parcel and it is returned to me, you must pay these costs. Also the shipping costs that arise to send it back to you. These costs are higher than the original shipping costs. You will receive a payment request via the Catawiki messaging system or by email. If you do not pay within 7 days, your ownership rights lapse. The costs remain enforceable. If you do not pay for lots you have won, I reserve the right to collect through legal means. Even if you have not paid, the purchase agreement remains in force as does the payment obligation. This doesn’t sound pleasant, but none of us benefit from bidders who don’t pay. Shipments are easy to track via the carrier websites and via the Catawiki site. If items are delivered to a service point and you do not collect them: see the above. It is the buyer’s obligation to ensure the package is delivered to their home address or collected at the service point.
