Description from the seller
GENERAL
Hurtan is a Spanish artisanal coachbuilding house of great prestige, founded in 1992 in Santa Fe, Granada, by Juan Hurtado, characterized by creating cars with retro and classic inspiration that recall the legendary mid‑twentieth‑century roadsters. This particular model, initially marketed under the Hurtan T2 designation before the saga evolved toward the Albaycín name, debuted in Spain and was first registered in 1994. On the technical side, the marque rigorously pursued reliability and simplicity of Renault-origin components, so this version rests on the robust mechanical base of the Renault 4 and Renault 5. It is equipped with the iconic four‑cylinder in‑line Cléon-Fonte petrol engine of 1,108 cc, capable of developing 50 HP, fuelled by a carburettor, which, combined with the lightness of the overall package, gives it a noble, agile and lively ride. In the hands of its current owner, this valued 1994 unit stands out for an extraordinary state of preservation and true “as-new” condition, having been treated with the utmost care from day one.
CARROCERÍA Y PINTURA
The vehicle presents an impeccable exterior appearance in an elegant two‑tone combination of silver and burgundy, showing its original finish without treatments that hide undesirable wear. The bodywork, handcrafted in fibreglass, is completely free of damage or structural fatigue, preserved exceptionally along with the chassis. It also receives special mention for its black canvas hood, which remains in perfect condition, sealing snugly and preserving the same flexibility and color vividness as on the first day.
MECÁNICA
The Renault‑origin powertrain and its corresponding manual transmission are perfectly maintained, functioning with the finesse of its debut. Under the hood all mechanical elements are up to date and the originality of the whole has been scrupulously respected, restoring perfect functionality and reliability designed to devour kilometres under open skies and to offer excellent performance on the road in all types of routes.
INTERIOR
The cabin stands out for an exceptional level of workmanship that faithfully preserves the original pattern designed by Hurtan’s master upholsterers. It presents full leather interior trim in a beautiful burgundy tone that is very pleasant to look at and to touch, harmonising perfectly with the door panels and the exterior fenders of the body. The seats are complemented by a classic wood‑rim steering wheel that matches the gear lever knob and the dashboard, providing the final touch of distinction to the cockpit.
DOCUMENTACIÓN
The car was originally introduced to the Spanish market and first registered in the province of Jaén, bearing the historic registration J-6916-G. Today the vehicle is delivered with a recently passed, clean Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV) with no negative observations, which provides total assurance and peace of mind to its next buyer.
RECOGIDA
The vehicle is available for inspection, processing and collection by its next buyer in Bolaños de Calatrava, in the province of Ciudad Real, Spain.
OTRA INFORMACIÓN
We are looking at one of the best units available on the market, representing a magnificent opportunity to acquire an artisanal sports car with a level of preservation that takes us straight back to 1994, the moment the car was driven for the first time.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
